Hope the monarda and the grass continues to do well. Should get more Hakone grass...got 2 of them last year and it came back hardy.

I just love the photo of the monarda with the grass. A perfect combo. I'll have to remember that. Never saw monarda that blue, it's lovely.

Love the Hakone grass too. Would love to have it but I've heard it prefers a moist soil. We get prolonged dry spells here.

Beautiful flowers! All the rain this year has made everything grow very thick (at least here in Virginia; assume the same in NJ?).

I think your unknown annual is an Angelonia, but I've never seen one with variegated flowers.

It is fun to see what's happened while you're away...

The beebalm is suppose to be purple..I think.
Chameleon here does best in "light shade"(about 4 hours direct sunlight).

The Obedient plant is new..most sun plants are new this year. Hope it comes back in 2010.

The hosta is "sum and substance".
Have to make a "to do" list for next spring and add pruning the butterfly bush.
Sorry to say...I pruned my honeysuckle early May and it disappear,really...it's like it died.

Fabulous set to blooms....and I love the hosta with the huge leaves...they are a particular favourite of mine...

Bee balm is so pretty.....it does not do too well in my garden, so I have given up...

The butterfly bush you can cut down to 6 inches from the ground next spring....it will regenerate fine and be much neater. I do all my bushes every year to keep them in shape and to get bigger blooms......

Nice! My one castor bean snapped off.....I'm doing better with the volunteers but nowhere near as well as yours.
Love that Hakonechloa grass, I can't seem to get it to grow in our shade garden.
The shot of your beebalm with Feather Reed Grass is gorgeous. I don't think I knew beebalm came in blue....very nice!
So you grow your Chameleon plant in the shade? I should try that. Can never get mine to do much, in fact I always forget it's there until I'm weeding near it.
