REDO ! Popes' Gardens -Take a walk with me

Went to Popes' Gardens for just 4 of these False Sunflower plants.

Heliopsis helianthoides 'Summer Sun' Perennial producing yellow sunflower-like flowers from summer to frost.  Plant in the back of the flowerbed or  up against a picket fence.  Great summer bloomer, very tough. Good cut flower. Sun.

Can you  see that "just 4 " of these  didn't work as planned ?

I already have one that is years old in part sun and it blooms longer than any of my other summer plants plus it will spread . It's not in the back of a bed but up front with support.
 A KEEPER !

My False Sunflower/ Summer Sun ( Heliopsis helianthoides) today.

This a very unique garden center.

  3. Hey Patsi girl ... I would love to visit that nursery ! .. we really don't have a lot of variety here , even though I manage to buy quite a few plants (I guess I shouldn't complain right ? haha) .. the pups loved the chickens didn't they ? something about dogs being fascinated by chickens.
No one .. or no gardener can leave a nursery with just what they intended to buy .. it isn't possible !! haha

  5. Hi Patsi,
thanks for visiting NatureFotostep. You asked if I went to a Nature Reserve to take teh images of Moose, deer and boar? The answer is not. I went to the forest and nature. They are wildlife roaming free in Sweden. :)

  6. Hi Patsi, thanks for your comments on my blog!
It is always nice to bring some new plants home, isn't it? This nursery looks like a really great place to visit and so huge! I like that they display their plants in a really tidy way.
So good to see your two dogs, they are very cute checking out the poultry!
Wishing you a lovely 4th of July weekend!
    Warm regards,
    Christina

  7. Wow I love that there are so many animals! <3 What makes you pick the Heliopsis helianthoides instead of SunFlowers?

  11. What a fantastic looking garden center!! What is that animal with the guinea pigs? I'm looking forward to at least planting some hanging flower baskets off both porches next year. Which I'm hoping the deer don't devour.
