Okame Cherry pretty but...

Tall and thin due to location. Keep wanting to make it shorter.
BUT don't think cutting the top off is a good idea.
Maybe GW tree forum can help.

Red Tip, Photinia x fraseri

Is this the same thing coming up near by.
Sure looks like it.

Thread Leaf came back...woo hoo !

One and only.
Think it's a hyacinth.

  1. The cherry tree is so light and airy looking, beautiful flowers. Pretty Hyacinth, I have one that that needs to be planted, and then it will be the only one in my yard. I like how yours looks with the lamium around it.

  2. Your cherry tree is beautiful, regardless. I'm not sure what I would do either ~ I'm never quite sure about pruning.

Our red tips are in full color!

  3. Patsi I love the airyness of the tree.. Your garden is far ahead of mine ... lovely to see all the growth coming in yours.

  4. Hi Patsi. It is tall but I love the airy look of it and the blooms are beautiful.Glad you have some success on some plants returning. Your hyacinth is so pretty. Things are growing now and it is a great time of the year. Have a terrific weekend.

  5. Response was sorta like this...
Not much I can do with the cherry tree unless I cut down my neighbor's trees.
I knew it wasn't the best location because we have lots of shade. Funny, it looks better in the summer.
