  2. You have beautiful friends who are so loyal! I think it is a cardinal in the topmost picture, although I have never seen the bird here.

  4. I'm lovin' your friends, Patsi. I'm also doing a season-long program, Project Feederwatch...which requires a payment to participate, but it goes from Nov to Apr. Since it's ongoing, I just do it when I think of it. No more than once every 5 days...or, once a month if you like. I am going to send in my data to GBBC, too. Have fun with it!! I don't see the 3rd and 4th bird in your photos...is the 3rd one a white throated sparrow? Not sure about your 4th one--it's pretty.

  5. Noticed you have a ?-mark (on your blogroll) about the garden zone I'm in...it's 7-A. That's a good idea, writing that info...!

  7. This is the first year I've actually participated in it and feel pretty good about it. Now we'll see how it goes when I log it all in. These are some of my favorite things too. Do you know what type of sparrow the third bird is? I have them too and keep thinking chipping sparrow but I don't think that's right. I hope the snow melts soon and spring comes. It's overdue this year!

  8. This is our second year doing the count. It seems like some birds show up just for the count and then don't return the rest of the year.
You've got some really pretty visitors there!

  10. Hi Patsi, Your photos are wonderful (Perhaps they're posing as a Valentine's gift to you?). I didn't forget about the count, but I couldn't do it due to our being in and out too much this weekend. :-( Hope you're enjoying a special day.

  11. Absolutely beautiful photos! Those snow covered evergreens make a perfect backdrop. Snowing here too but we don't expect too much. Cabin fever...I hear that. I've feel like I've been cooped up for so long.

  12. Hi Patsi - wonderful photos. I wish we had red cardinals over here, they're just glorious - especially against that snowy backdrop!

We've had nowhere near the amount of snow you've got but even I got fed up with it after three weeks, so I'm not suprised that you've got cabin fever! Hang on in there - it will melt soon :)

  14. Great bird shots!
I can just imagine your cabin fever - it's got to be 10x mine, and that's bad enough!

  15. Patsi, what beautiful bird photos! If you don't mind, I'm going to post a link on my GBBC follow-up post to yours here, so even more people can have a look. Love the warbler!

  16. I missed the count again but should partake in it some time. I love to watch the birds but we have been keeping the sunroom closed off from the rest of the house to save a bit of money on the heat bill. I miss my sunroom as it is my favorite room in the house...

I hope you thaw out soon, we dont need you getting Cabin Fever...
