Nothing to shake a stick at

Not exactly sure what the heck this post title means but I like it!!
Anyway this is my first spring post.

Most days seem to be like this. Looking out the window at a wet bird.

But then things pick up....
Had some sun today and TIME to take picks and do a little tidying.
Yay ! Signs of life !
I know, I know...gotta prune that dead stuff!

Looks like tulips will be doing their thing soon.

Remainder of my crocuses that the squirrels didn't chew up for some reason.

Seeing the columbine for the first time that were started from seed years ago makes me happy.

Chives are an herb, right? Can't wait for them to flower.

Daffodils are in no hurry to open. But then again...it's pretty shady where they sit.

Love the red on the Red Tip Photinia x fraseri.

Montauk Daisies. New last year, hope they like where they're planted.

Had to look this one up...sorta new. Willow, Dappled 'On Standard' Salix 'Hakuro Nishiki'.
I think from now on I'll just call it Willow. :)

Hostas...
Here

There

And Every Where

Wish there was more color going on. So HAD to pick up these pansies.
I guess it's a good start after all or worth shaking a stick at.

Blogger Question-Post Keepers

Have a question.
So many of you wonderful bloggers did posts that I like to call "keepers".
What I mean is that you did a post on a subject that I like to do or dream about doing someday.
I think you know the kind of post I'm talking about.

Have failed to save in past months certain posts from garden bloggers and now I just don't remember who did them or where to find them and it's been driving me crazy.
Soooo... on "My Links" page located on side bar is a list of just 2 (right now)that I feel are needed for future reference.
Need to know if it's ok with everyone?
If it's a problem I'll remove it.

Looks like this below:

2009 Philadelphia Flower Show-part 3

The 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show-part 3

Finally the end of the big event !!!
Below are smaller exhibits..many that were in competition.
Some of the exhibits came under some internet criticism..
I believe because they weren't "garden related".
BUT with a show this large...who cares !
Also below are some of the 140 venders...you name it... they had it!

Didn't buy any plants BUT couldn't leave without bringing SOMETHING home !
This little metal angel should do nicely hanging somewhere in the garden.
