Going to visit my husband's parents in NY who had a very bad year growing tomatoes and other veggies....so we're bringing some of our own !
As you may know my husband grows Heirloom Tomatoes from all over.
Just picked today. Mmmmmm...gettin' hungry !
Even with discoloration like that, they really look yummy as always. It must be the weather ....
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day Patsi

Makes me drool just to look at them.
ReplyDeletei do not think i have ever seen a photo
ReplyDeleteof something so beautiful as these toms!
I'm so jealous! I grew some tomato plants in containers this year and they did diddly squat! I was so mad. I was getting lots of flowers, but no fruit. I finally gave up on them this week. Yours look lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting variety of tomatoes! I'm sure they'll be so happy to see you! :-)
ReplyDeleteA rainbow of tomatoes;) His parents will be tickled with those.

ReplyDeleteAnd they really are, I know =)
Lovely juicy ones, specially the little yellow ones.
ReplyDeleteWow, you've got a ton of tomatoes there! Wish I would have gotten more this year.....I think I'll plant more next year.
ReplyDeleteBangchik,
ReplyDeleteFunny... discoloration.
~~
Kewee,
Odd thing...I haven't eaten many this year. :(
~~
Becky,
Most people don't think of pretty when it comes to heirlooms but I do.
~~
Miss Daisy,
Seems most had problems his year.
~~
Shady,
Yes...most happy.
~~
Marnie,
His Mom had tons of her own when we got there that my husband started BUT she couldn't tend to them. So I cleaned up her beds(huge weeds) and tied up about 30 plants. Now she can see them.
~~
Cameron,
Thanks again.
~~
Shanny,
Hey kiddo, been enjoying your blog.
Dad won't read it but is very interested when I tell him what's going on.
~~
LotusLeaf,
Just had the the yellow ones yesterday in salad.
~~
Donna,
Maybe next year will be better for most.
Look at all those pretty tomatoes! I am growing Mr. Stripey and orange oxehearts this year. The orange ones are mild and sweet. I've only gotten a few of the others. After they were planted I read a blog that said they don't taste good, so I was relieved when I had one and liked it. I made soup today from garden veggies and included lots of tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteSue,
ReplyDeleteMy husband has so far zero production on Mr Stripey. The other one we can remember off hand. da
Soup sounds really good...we should can some tomatoes for soup this winter.
WOW! What a shot!
ReplyDeleteVictoria,
ReplyDeleteSure are pretty !
