Hum, where did this come from?
I didn't plant it there.
Looks like sage to me but it's not the same as my others.
It's been growing in mostly shade and looks pretty but
I'm not sure what it is.
It does look like sage or salvia. It sure is pretty in front of the red flowering plant.
I had many sunflowers that the birds planted grow and bloom in unusual places this summer. It was neat to see these flowers just appear in unexpected places. Marnie
It does look like a sage. There are so MANY! How tall is it? Pitcher sage would be tall...remember the post on salvia uliginosa on the Cottage Garden Forum...there are some blue salvias in that thread. Cameron

ReplyDeleteSuch a delicate thing! Going to foster it?
ReplyDeleteThe blooms look like my Russian Sage, but not the leaves. Alot of good my comment did, huh? Nice photo!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like salvia to me.....lovely plant and such a vibrant colour...
ReplyDeleteThe bloom looks to me like sage. What a beautiful colour!

It sure looks like a sage! :-) (Is salvia of the sage family? I think so.)
ReplyDeleteYour right Cameron.
ReplyDeleteRich at the salvia forum gave me an ID...Henry Duelberg salvia.
Have to save seeds since it likes shade.
A good shade plant ... now that is another one I would be looking for but it probably doesn't survive our winters ?
ReplyDeleteThat bright blue sage is beautiful, especially next to the red. I hope you do manage to save seeds and keep it going.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are almost electric blue! Beautiful photographs!
