I can't take the heat! It's been around 90 degrees for the last 2 weeks. About 20 minutes deadheading before work is all I can handle. So...NO pruning the shrubs(really over due). And mucho flowers are going to seed. Forget about weeding. But the bugs are happy.
Sorry - I just realized how to comment on your blog so my comments are redundant as I posted on the garden forum. Anyway, your blog is inspirational, your gardens beautiful, and your photos exceptional. I see you list my favorite garden center on your links. Joan and Jim Pope are the greatest - I imagine 90 % of my plants have come from them over the 17 years I have been gardening. I just got in from adding another small bed from divisions - attacked by mosquitoes, but not a bad effort for this time of year. Happy gardening.
You very weirdl have comments on only 1 of your 3 blogs. At any rate, I was going to say that if you'd use the words "pretty damn good", some of those Google Blog Search seekers might just find you. I like the bird and flower pix!
Great pics. So talented with the camera and the garden! I love the pond/river shed or boathouse, what an amazing shot. Tell me that's on your property. OMG, so jealous. All I've got is backing up to a wetland that's not so wet, unless you include the storm drain that vents in three places on my property. Gotta love easments.
